Paola Antonelli is considered by some a design expert and was recently rated as one of the top one hundred most powerful people in the world of art by Art Review. She is a Senior Curator in the Department of Architecture and Design at the Museum of Modern Art.
The recipient of a laurea degree in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano university in 1990, she never worked as an architect. Paola Antonelli has curated several architecture and design exhibitions in Italy, France, and Japan. She has been a Contributing Editor for Domus magazine (1987-91) and the Design Editor of Abitare (1992-94). She has also contributed articles to several publications, among them Metropolis, the Harvard Design Review, I.D. magazine, Paper, Metropolitan Home, Harper's Bazaar and Nest.

Je suis un passionné d’Internet, que j’ai connu en 1984 au centre de recherche d’IBM. J’ai eu la chance d’être le premier abonné à Wanadoo, le 2 mai 1996. J’ai travaillé dans la recherche en informatique, tout d’abord à l’IGN, sur les premières images Landsat (avant Spot) et sur le navstar, ancêtre du GPS, puis au centre de R&D d’IBM où j’ai fait de la reconnaissance de la parole; puis à Cap Gemini Innovation où j’ai dirigé un centre de recherche en informatique, et enfin à la direction de l’innovation de France Telecom.
